"Anyone who has tried to keep a cat with separation anxiety out of a room you're in for more than 30 seconds knows why that was not an option for us. Thus began the search for anything to help her get up onto the headboard, and thankfully we quickly found our cat's new bunk bed. It is very popular with our 2 older cats, and I have gotten a whole entire week's work of full nights sleeps.
The supports and hammock are both remarkably sturdy, and can easily hold the weight of both my older cats at the same time. Together they weigh 27 pounds so that is quite the feat.
The size of the bed is absolutely perfect for right between mine and my fiance's pillows, and there has been only one head bonk the entire time we've had it.
I am definitely considering buying another one that way if the cats don't feel like cuddling (rare, but it does happen) they each have their own bunk bed.
